Don't Worry

Phil. 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Worry. It's something that we are naturally inclined to do; to desire to defend ourselves and to plan out our defenses against harm. When our thoughts are constantly consumed with how we're supposed to battle potential harm in our lives, worry floods us and it begins to break us down. But we don't have to be hopeless and consumed in the wreckage of worry. Because guess what? We were not meant to defend ourselves. We were meant to have God defend us, because He is truly the only one who can protect us and come out of these day-to-day battles victoriously. The only thing we have to do is pray with a thankful heart for God protection, and hand over all our battles to Him. Then something crazy happens- we find peace on the battle field because we know that our God is fighting for us every step of the way.

Read over this verse one more time, and then follow what it's saying to do- pray. Thank God for everything you're thankful for, big and small. And talk to Him about all your worries, and if you feel God leading you to it, hand them over to Him so that you won't have to carry this burden of worry on your shoulders any longer. Ask him to flood you with peace, understanding and protection of your heart and your mind.

I hope everyone has an awesome day! :)
